Titania – ‘A Mid Summer Nights Dream’, Photoshoot with Helen Warner Photography
Back in the early part of the summer, we had the pleasure of being asked by wedding stylist Jenna Hewitt to take part in ‘A Mid Summer Nights Dream’, a magical interpretation of Shakespeare’s famous character, Titiania, queen of the fairies, and the inspiration behind fine art photographer Helen Warner’s photoshoot at Bignor Park, West Sussex. We were pleased to supply a selection of rustic furniture pieces and together with a team of super talented suppliers, we couldn’t be happier with the results of this dreamy styled photoshoot.
The shoot which was styled in two parts, illuminate two different sides of Titania’s character as Helen explains:
“My inspiration for the shoot was to offer a contemporary interpretation of a classic character – Shakespeare’s Titania from A Mid Summer Night’s Dream. Titania is both a strong independent woman and also romantic ethereal fairy. I photographed two looks, to reflect the different sides of Titania’s personality. This look depicts the fierce and regal Queen of the Fairies – featuring a burgundy/apricot and copper colour scheme, photographed in enclosed formal gardens and walkways. With beautiful flowers including apricot roses and chrysanthemums, together with foraged copper and burgundy foliage from copper beeches, wild cherry and Cotinus.”
Helen goes on to describe the second part, and what inspired the cooler colours seen here, “This look focuses on her soft, ethereal and sensitive soul, who is in tune with the natural elements and includes loose, foraged floral arrangements in a soft green, blue and white colour scheme, in a natural wild environment. Key flowers include white Peonies and their seed heads, Eryngium, wild grasses and curling vines.”
We were honestly blown away by the results of this shoot, being probably some of the most beautiful images we have seen this year. Totally stunning and we were absolutely delighted we were a part of this!
