June is always an incredibly busy month for us, weddings are being celebrated across the country, garden parties are in full swing, festivals are happening and at this particular time in June each year we are fully absorbed Glastonbury Festival preparations. Glastonbury Festival, five days of wonderful, beautiful mayhem and this year the Festival’s 50th anniversary would have taken place.
Right now, our teams would have been onsite working to help create stylish and comfortable accommodation at 5 festival glamping venues across the Glastonbury Festival site. These incredible venues offer VIP boutique accommodation for their guests and include restaurants, bars, spas, and even swimming pools. Pure havens for festival revelers to rest and re-charge.
In 2018 we were approached by The Pop-Up Hotel owners, who presented us with their brief for the Glastonbury hotel 2019. The hotel required an original look with new energy, and they were looking for a company to supply, source and style furniture and decor for their high-end glamping tents, plus their lounge, bar, dining and spa areas. Their brief and budget were interpreted, and we created a tailored quotation and lookbook for approval.
Once we had been selected to undertake the job our creative team set about enhancing styling ideas, creating CAD drawings and layout plans ensuring a connection between spaces to allow people to move easily. Furniture, interior decorations and lighting were carefully sourced and bought or selected from our current collection. Colour palettes and furniture pieces were thoughtfully matched and selected for each area and trusted suppliers for florals, planting & build projects were chosen.
Onsite in June 2019 our build team installed the interior walls, screens, lighting and the incredible front door, sourced from China was hoisted into place. Our delivery teams brought in furniture and stylists worked around the clock positioning furniture and decor and ensuring the vision we had presented was implemented. Florals and planting were installed and the hotel was ready for to welcome it’s 220 guests.
Massive thanks to our very own sensational hardworking teams who we think absolutely nailed this job plus Jo and her team at Viridi Flower Studio for incredible florals and Hannah and Alex at Fuss Pots for fantastic plants and trees.
We’re now looking to Glastonbury 2021 and look forward to celebrating the festival’s 50th anniversary a little later than planned. For this year, we might just have a little rave in the garden with the cat, dog and chickens – how will you be celebrating Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary
