OUR HISTORY

Virginias Vintage Hire is one of the first dedicated vintage hire companies to set up in the UK, existing first and foremost to meet the needs of those looking to create individual and unforgettable weddings, parties and events with stylish, imaginative, one-of a kind furniture items and accessories.

Since 2012 our team and collection have grown to supply to a high profile client list, film and TV sets, luxury brand events and furnished some truly stunning weddings and parties yet we remain firmly grounded and true to our homespun values of mindful living and simplicity and continue to work from our small estate workers cottage in the Devon countryside.

Our Values

Today, Virginias Vintage Hire is as alive and progressive as it was when we started out. Driven by a passion for what we do and supported by our customers we continue to expand our product range. Our collections are made up of honest, well-crafted furniture that has been designed to grow old gracefully, quality reproductions, accentuated by classic heritage pieces that are easy to style and combine. Products have been selected with real events in mind, practical and functional but well chosen to add a natural elegance to your event.

THE FOUNDERS

Founders Greg and Ginny. It began with the purchase of a run-down cottage; a renovation and the delight of rummaging for objects and furniture that made us feel good. Then a wedding that needed to celebrate our love for the outdoors and a desire to create a family party that was much more personal than simply following what’s in fashion. We started Virginias Vintage Hire through a love of simple, effortless, stylish living and have a great emotional connection to the business and our fantastic team.

Our home accommodates an array of furniture and artifacts collected over years of worldwide travel and we have ensured our collections are sprinkled with handpicked pieces collected from far-flung destinations as well as from West Country barns and French markets.

We continue to shop and source products as if we were furnishing our own event and are personally involved in all the buying decisions and ensure that each new piece continues to exude the simple, understated style that we love and identify with.

Nicky owner of Virginias Vintage Hire Scotland has been close friends with Greg and Ginny for many years. Having previously worked in a different capacity with Ginny, we knew we would all work well together and in 2014 we opened our doors and began supplying signature style tables and chairs to events in Scotland and Northern England.
